Sometimes, I hate academic life. It is 3:57 in the am and I am in office grading papers. That is what you do when you wake up at 2 am, and work keeps you from going back to sleep. Bummer, major Bummer.
Technically, I am no longer grading papers. I am now watching Grey's Anatomy and blogging. I am not even sure I like Grey's Anatomy, or that is how you spell anatomy, but I have seen all the episodes of Lost, and Friday Night Lights, and I don't want to try to get ahead on Rome so I am watching Grey's Anatomy. I have heard rumors that Kathrine Heigel who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on the show is said to be leaving the show. All I can say is Amen. She is a terrible actress. Horrendous.
Apparently she has an 11 year old daughter that has been previously mentioned or unmentioned on the show and the child has leukemia. They should really give the 11 year old sick girl to a better actress. It might a bit more convincing. A quote, "I know what is in an epidural. I have given a ton of epidurals. I am a doctor. Somehow the needle seems SO much bigger..." Terrible. Just Terrible. Trust me, if you saw that scene then you would most definitely know what I am talking about. This shite stays on the air, and a great series like Rome gets cancelled. No justice in the world.

I was not going to comment on the VT tragedy. However, I decided to go ahead and speak on it It is my firm opinion that these men died as heroes. I would like to take a moment to honor the only two people who attempted to thwart the killer at Virginia Tech.

A work of heart breaking ass whippery, and staggering butt puckering...

Yon bitch fest has returned. I am tired of school. More to the point...I tired of this school. I am ready for Indiana and Purdue. HURRY UP AUGUST!!! DAMN YOU!!! WHY DO YOU TOY WITH MY EMOTIONS!!! By the way, I "appropriated" the title of this work from Dave Eggers. He seems to be an asshole so I don't feel too terribly tore up about it. Actually, I don't know anything about the man, however, he is an author, and good one at that, so I am going to assume he is a pretentious asshole, and leave it that.

However, I recently heard that my favorite author, Cormac McCarthy, had his most recent book, The Road, chosen as the next book in Oprah's Book Club. I have also heard that he will be a guest and conduct his first ever Television interview. Congrats to Oprah for getting the greatest author of his generation a bit of needed attention. McCarthy has to be the most under the radar literary genius of all time. I am interested to see what he has to say, and really just to hear him speak. I don't think he is anything like the characters in his works. I think he is going to be a soft spoken Rhode Island Catholic who simply has a very good understanding of good and evil, and of masculinity. I am hoping he appears on Oprah after I have moved to Indiana. Purdue is only three hours from Chicago. I will make the trip just to get a look at him and maybe get a book signed. It would be awesome!
